Netherton Building and Construction Company Limited, trading as Netherton Homes, is Purico’s house-building division.

Established in 1934, the company was heavily involved in the building of a new town in Peterborough in the late 1960s. More recently it has been granted planning permission for 200 homes in the South Yorkshire village of Mapplewell, three miles north of Barnsley. The first phase involves the construction of 46 two, three, four and five-bedroom houses in a mix of traditional and modern styles.

All the homes will be constructed to a high thermal and internal specification, offering house buyers a wide choice of properties with all the comforts of 21st century living.

The site in Wakefield Road has the benefit of being on the edge of the countryside, as well as having excellent local amenities and transport links. Mapplewell itself enjoys a wealth of facilities, and has easy access to the M1 for commuters travelling to Barnsley and Leeds.
