Case studies
Nicro Bolta
Bolta Werka was approached by Volkswagen to assist with establishing a quality chrome plate facility in Mexico, primarily to supply the VW manufacturing plant in Mexico. Bolta Werka already supplied Volkswagen in Germany with VW decals and badges, so was ideally placed to expand production into Mexico. A Joint Venture was successfully established with a local Mexican manufacturer and high quality product was being delivered in less than sixteen months.
Devon Valley / UPT
Purico had tracked the teabag paper manufacturer Crompton Group over two decades; interest arising initially from the Group’s involvement in paper manufacture. When the Crompton Group went into administration, Purico saw an opportunity to acquire the business and assets and turn it around. Through the injection of new technology and management, Crompton Group has since experienced considerable growth and now contributes significantly to ensuring Purico’s position as the second largest manufacturer of teabag and coffee filtration paper in the world.
Profilplast
The Bolta Industrie management team became aware of the Profilplast operation in Hungary, and initial evaluations showed significant confidence in its manufacturing capability. Profilplast became the Group’s first investment in the former Soviet bloc. Investment in additional machinery accompanied the financial investment, as did use of Profilplast as a supplier of quality engineered product.
