Ocean Breeze Residential Care Home is tucked away in the picturesque town of Barton on Sea, Hampshire, yet close to the shops and the seafront. Based on the edge of the beautiful New Forest, the home offers a peaceful haven for people over 65 and those living with dementia. The 22 bedded care home was renovated and enlarged at a cost of £1.5 million in 2015. Following the refurbishment, the home underwent a complete makeover which was expertly coordinated by Diana Celella, an award-winning Interior Designer, who specialises in creating dementia-friendly environments.
Ocean Breeze has an easily accessible, yet secluded, garden with raised flowerbeds for those residents who enjoy gardening. Residents can relax in the various communal and patio areas or enjoy the fresh sea air in the beautifully landscaped gardens.
The home offers long term residential and respite care, day care and holiday cover for people those living with dementia.
All rooms have en-suite facilities with telephone and TV points; internet access is also available. The rooms, which are dementia friendly, have a call system and the home is equipped with a specialist software care package to ensure that all care given is recorded and monitored. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own pictures and items that are precious to them.
The home has spacious lounges, an Activities Room and Hair Salon. Residents are offered a varied home cooked menu to suit their individual tastes.
Highly trained professional staff offer Person Centred Care. Ocean Breeze recognises that good staff are the key to a successful care home and the home fully supports its staff with ongoing training. Staff work closely with families to ensure their loved ones get the best possible care in a homely environment.
