The Puri Foundation for Education in India

The Puri Foundation for Education in India is a premier institution for development and education, located in Gandhinagar, the capital city of Gujarat, India.

Mr N R Puri has set up scholarships at several universities and constructed a new 30,000 sq ft building for a new school in his home village in India, Mullan Pur near Chandigarh, and established the Indian Institute of Advance Research (IIAR) in Biology and Bio-technology at Koba, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, opened by the president of India on 28th April 2006. Professor Puri is working with the universities to establish scholarships for Commonwealth students who may want to study engineering at the London South Bank University.
 
Mr. Puri was also instrumental in mobilising a huge effort from the UK for the rehabilitation of the Gujarat Earthquake victims in 2002 by supporting the building of 10 new villages in Kutch, Gujarat.
