Purico Group History

Purico Group was established by Professor Nathu Ram Puri in January 1983 when he acquired FG Skerritt Limited, of Nottingham UK. Professor Puri had worked at Skerritt from 1973 to 1975 and after departing to establish his own consultancy / advisory business he began the process of acquisition and consolidation. Since 1983 he has made many acquisitions. Purico is a Private Company and employs over 3,000 people world wide, including: United Kingdom, USA, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Mexico, China and Hong Kong.

Continuing Growth and Development

• N R Puri first worked for Skerritt of Nottingham and then went on to acquire the company
• First step in the group’s development
• Group structure initially based around traditional UK based businesses
• But then expanded in Germany and other parts of Europe
• One of the very first UK companies to have a presence in China; 1995.
